WEBSITE
Michiko Erkola is a qualified Ayurveda practitioner (Bachelor in APS/Ayurveda Practitioner Studies from the Netherlands) and an entrepreneur.

Throughout her academic journey in the field of Ayurveda, she undertook a self-directed internship in South India to discover the foundational concepts and the time-honoured practices of Ayurveda directly from its roots in Kerala. The internship allowed her to witness effective Panchakarma treatments by established Vaidyas and the meticulous manufacturing processes of high-quality Ayurvedic medicines in Poonthottam Ayurveda Hospital.
She was also fortunate to study at Vaidyagrama Healing Village as part of her academic program, where she observed Panchakarma treatments and gained valuable insights into effective Ayurvedic medical practices.

These experiences led her to understand the importance of a holistic approach to healing and the need to empower each client using a person-centred method.
Working as an Ayurveda practitioner in Finland, Michiko is committed to helping her clients implement lifestyle changes, enhance their nutrition, and discover effective preventive treatments suited to the distinct Scandinavian setting. Her approach highlights the importance of involving clients, inspiring them to actively participate in their journey towards healing.

Her Ayurveda practice, SATVA Helsinki, aims to become a beacon of authentic and up-to-date Ayurvedic knowledge in the Baltic Sea region to serve as a bridge between the East and the West.
